The Reasons the Tire Pressure Lights are Illuminated

Once the pressure in any of the car tires falls out of the recommended range, you will be notified by way of the tire pressure indicators on your car's dash. Here are a couple reasons for the light to stay lit.

The health of the tires can be compromised at any time. A defective tire will have the tread separate from the rest of the tire, allowing air to escape. If a nail or screw is stuck in the tread, air is escaping and could lead to a blowout.

One of the things that are causing the air to escape from the tires actually occurs each day naturally. Air escapes at a rate of a pound a month regardless, and if the temperature drops by ten degrees, it will drop another pound.
